This three-hour walk provides you with a good introduction to central Auckland.  Hear about early Māori habitation, colonial times and modern transformational developments in Auckland.  We see a Māori Marae, the Fale Pasifika, an inner-city park, the Art Gallery and Old Government House.  All this walking will make us thirsty so we stop for morning tea at an opulent art deco restaurant.

Diane’s walking tour of Auckland was one of the best walking tours I’ve ever done, anywhere in the world!! It turned out that I was the only person on my tour the morning that we set out, so it was essentially a private tour at no extra cost – and Diane went out of her way to answer all my questions and really give me an insider’s guide to the Auckland CBD! Diane is an amazingly knowledgeable tour guide and I learnt so much about the history of Auckland that I never would have known otherwise; Diane’s particular focus on the art and architecture of the city (both past and present) really aligned with my interests too and so I found everything on the tour to be fascinating! The morning tea at a beautiful boutique hotel was also the perfect way to finish the tour. Thank you so much for such an engaging, personal tour, Diane – I’ll definitely be recommending your tour to everyone I know who visits Auckland!
